The Half of Me series by Diana T. Scott Blog Tour || Giveaway

Hi Guys! Today is 8th day Diana;s Blog Tour. I am quite exhilarated to be a part of this. I hope you will like my reviews on her books. Basically, I signed up for the review of the first book of The Half of Me series (Our demons, best friends) But the first book gave me hangovers and kept me hook. I asked Diana to send me second and third book of the series. She is even more genial, she sent them by herself.
No matter in which format do you read, I bet you can't keep it down. Ebooks irks me. Usually, I take ages to complete one single damn ebook. Such a lazy bum I am.
Anyway, lets get to the review. But wait look at the gorgeous cover the books of the series.
Our Demons, Best Friends (Book 1)

Color Me Yours (Book 2)

Blurb:

Ava and Sebastian are two medical residents who in a perfect world, would really like each other. But both of them are closely watched by their demons. Their baggage is not light - Ava has hers carefully folded in vacuum bags to occupy as little room as possible; Sebastian wears his like a lead armor that makes him slouch sometimes. They like each other, but how are their demons going to get along?

Review:

This book is basically set in hospital scenario. The struggles and hustle bustle of a intern life is describe so perfectly. I kind of like that (at least someone gives the true description of  my kind of people). Anyway, the story revokes around Ava a female medical residency intern carrying a lot of emotional baggage and Sebastian a mysterious Greek God, tattoed,and macho type guy with a man bun. Both of them carries their inner demons and try to fight them. The mysterious aura of the character of Sebastian made me root for him. I liked Diana's take over Ava. She remain rational along the burden she carries do every thing possible to maintain the friendship with Sebastian. The cute aspect of the story is the friendship. The character of Miles, Paige, Emily and Collin shared cute friendship with protagonists. Like anyone can wish for. This element of the book is super cute that I can't stop grinning myself. The book keep me hooked. Just as Ava said;

"Exactly what I demand from the healthy book, a healthy cry or good laugh, this one had both."

I think it was kind of a insta love how Sebastian immediately he gets different around Ava. Otherwise he made the impression of reserved and introvert kind. Along with carrying baggage and not to burden other one it was creating quite a tension in me. I was like talk please, talk please in my head. But finally, phew. One lesson: communication is the key. The message is quite impressive; accept the baggage of someone you may want to be with. I like the friendships and the way how they carry along with the story.
If you are into contemporary reads, give it a read. It's cute, mushy a little bit sad and nothing sexual at all (besides misleading cover, haha). One thing I should mention, on the last page Diana provides the playlist of songs from Ava's Ipod playlist and party. I loved the playlist and is I love how these songs remind of the happenings between Sebastian and Ava.
